The statement was signed by: the Alliance for a New Beginning, the National Front of Iran Abroad, and the Iranian Constitutional Party, The Farshkard Network, the external organization of the Ban Iran Yest Party, the Freedom and Welfare Party of Iran, the Social Democratic Society of Iran, the Secular Democratic Party of Iran, Women for Freedom and Sustainable Equality, the Secular Democracy Movement in Iran, a grassroots organization, and a group of the signatories of the 14-person statement, in Reference to 14 civil and political activists who had called for Ali Khamenei’s resignation from office and a radical change in the constitution, on June 11, 2019.

Suppression of Water Protests

This statement came after security forces suppressed popular protests against the regime’s water policies in Khuzestan Province, southwestern Iran.
