Karachi Police on On Tuesday, 18 people were briefly detained, including academician Nida Kirmani. for organizing a protest against enforced disappearances of Baloch members community in metropolis.

SSP Raza said 18 people — 10 men and eight women, including Kirmani , were detained and taken to the Artillery Maidan police station after they tried to move on. He added that they were later released.
Kirmani also said she and the others were released because no charges had been filed against they and their cell phones were also returned. However, she said that “information all were recorded, and photos were accepted of Baloch men who we with us.”
