The Cabinet Committee examines the situation of Corona in Punjab, measures taken for its prevention

LAHORE: The cabinet committee chaired jointly by the Punjab health minister, Dr. Yasmin Rashid and Chief Secretary Kamran Ali Afzal examined the situation in Corona in the province and the measures adopted for its prevention.

The meeting was attended by the police of IG Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan, the secretary of the primary and secondary health department Imran Sikandar Baloch, the secretary of the health and specialized medical education department Dr. Ahmad Javed Qazi, the special secretaries, Saleha Saeed and Dr. Asif Tufail and officials of other department.

Dr. Yasmin Rashid appreciated the Department of Primary and Secondary Health for achievement of vaccination objectives and Specialized Department of Health and Medical Training for treatment facilities for COVID-19 patients. Health Secretaries Dr Ahmad Javed Qazi and Imran Sikandar Baloch briefed the health minister and chief secretary on the latest state of coronavirus.

The Minister of Health stated: “More than 71% population of Punjab has been fully vaccinated. The situation of the Corona pandemic in Punjab is under strict control. Over 90% of the population of Punjab received first dose of corona vaccine. We are trying theirs best vaccinate as many people how possible against COVID-19”.

“I congratulate P&SH Department Secretary Imran Sikandar Baloch and his folks team for success of Campaign Reach every door. The best treatment of Corona patients are provided in public sector hospitals of Punjab. The government it is spending huge amount of money on treatment of Crown patients in government hospitals “.

Punjab Chief Secretary Kamran Ali Afzal said the vaccination was successful campaign in Punjab has slowed down down the spread of COVID-19. He said: “I congratulate P & SHD and all the Deputy Commissioners for do the vaccination campaign a success. Incentives will be given to all officers who to have made vaccination campaign a success. “
