KARACHI: Sindh High Court (SHC) on Tuesday ordered the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) and the cable operators restore transmission immediately of ARI News.

Sole Judge SHC bench led by Judge Akil Abbasi heard plea and issued directives for PEMRA and cable operators immediately restore the transmission of ARY News.
The court sent to media regulatory power to take action against cable operators, who challenge the High Court of Sindh decision.

Meanwhile, PEMRA counsel urged SHC to suspend notice of contempt against body chairman. “At least he should be released from his visit tomorrow, he added.
To which the channel’s lawyer Ayan Memon noted that the petition for contempt against PEMRA Chair will be recalled when he implements SHC decision.
