Just Stop Oil protesters blocked gas stations and smashed gas stations across London this morning.
Action started today at 6 am in west and south of in city.
Some of the protesters were shown seated in road with banners while others block the entrances.
Bands broke display glass and closed pumps with spray paint before sitting down down ‘wait arrest’.
The pumps were taken out of service after Just Stop Oil said 51 activists flocked to gas stations.
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police told Metro.co.uk: “Police were called at 06:29. on Friday, August 29, reports of protesters damage pumps at a gas station in Talgarth Road, Hammersmith.
“An officer was present and within about 10 minutes arrested four people. men as well as one woman on suspicion of criminal damage. They are remain in detention at a West London police station.
“The investigation is ongoing.”

Today’s action was timed to coincide with in announcement by Ofgem of increase in electricity bills for October.

Just Stop Oil launched a promotion in support of them demand that the UK government the end new oil and gas projects in United Kingdom.

He said: “Today we resist the governments plans to allow more oil and gas.
‘We want stop misery forced on millions on rising energy bills, food poverty, poorly insulated housing and society run for benefit of fossil fuel companies and the rich.”
Today’s actions will put additional pressure on supply of gasoline and diesel fuel for southeast ahead of august holiday weekend.
Earlier this week, protesters formed a human chain along main a route used by tankers plying between the ring road and the Navigator oil terminal. in Grace, Essex.
The footage shows the protesters getting up. over a tall iron fence along the nearby InterTerminals facility while security personnel with security guard dog tried to catch them
Activists had to be forced removed and at least 18 people were arrested after the action.
