Franco-UAE-Qatar Trade Levels Bounce Back

French Foreign Trade Minister Olivier Pechet confirmed in an interview with Agence France-Presse that trade levels between France, the UAE, and Qatar have exceeded pre-coronavirus crisis levels.

Gulf Countries Compensated for Pandemic-Induced Delay

Bisht said during a visit to Dubai after the meetings held in Doha: “We have compensated the Gulf countries (especially Qatar and the UAE) for the delay caused by the ‘pandemic’ crisis, which means that we have not only restored the numbers that were recorded before the crisis but, on the contrary, improved them, and this cannot but rejoice.”

Volume of Trade with UAE Surpasses 7 Billion Euros

He explained that the volume of trade with the UAE now exceeds 7 billion euros, knowing that before the crisis it was about 6 billion euros.

UAE and France Strengthen Energy Sector Partnership

Last year, the UAE and France signed a series of agreements in the energy sector and others during UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s visit to Paris, including the supply of fuel to France to “improve security” supplies.
