Fazlur Rehman claims ‘Imran Khan is trying to blackmail institutions’

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) head Maulana Fazlur Rehman said on Pakistani Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan attempted to blackmail the institutions on Monday, ARY News reported.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman said in a media statement that Imran Khan was the greatest evil of the country that should be rooted out.

He claimed that Imran Khan passed resolutions against election Committee of Pakistan (ECP) to influence the verdict in The Case of PTI Foreign Funding.

PDM head said that general elections will take place after the election of the incumbent president government completes his term.

Fazlur Rehman once again criticized the Supreme Court (SC), saying that it only objected to the verdicts, not to the higher court.

He said the heads of institutions were also people who made errors. PDM head added that the supreme court had also made mistakes in some sentences.

He said that the chief justice refused to form full bench due to unavailability of judges.

PDM head said the chief justice convened a judicial committee of Pakistan (JCP) session just two days after the verdict in vice speaker’s case.

He took aimed at former prime minister Imran Khan and said that PTI government destroyed in national economy during his fouryear rule. He said that economic stability will take some time.
