LAHORE: Amin ul-Hasnat Shah, a prominent religious figure in the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), is expected to jump ship and join Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Saturday, he showed up.
Shah who served junior minister for religious affairs during ruling partyprevious government expected between 2013 and 2018 announcement Tan event in his hometown of Bhera in Sargodha district of Punjab.
Shah is son of Muhammad Karam Shah al-Azhari, Islamic scholar of Hanafi jurisprudence best known for by Tafsir Zia ul-Quran (The light of Koran in Exegesis of Koran); and Zia un-Nabi, detailed biography of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). He was tied with Barelvi movement and was a spiritual mentor and feast of Sufi order Chishtiyya.
this is also expected to be together with Shah significant number of his followers will also join opposition party of former prime minister Imran Khan.
This move this is a blow to PML-N like general elections scheduled to be held later year, with term of office of National Assembly set to end in August.
Leaders of PTI, including Vice Chairman Shah Mahmoud Qureshi, secretary general Assad Umar and senior Vice President Fawad Chaudhary, set welcome the Shah warmly as he joins them party.
In a tweet, Chaudhry described Shah decision to join PTI as “very important”, noting that he and his family have influence throughout Pakistan, including in subdivisions of Sargodha and Rawalpindi.
