Former Congresswoman and 2020 Presidential Candidate Tulsi Gabbard announced she’s leaving the Democratic party.
“I can not do it anymore remain in today’s Democratic party,” she said on episode of her podcast. “Now under complete control of elite clique of warmongers driven by a cowardly awakening…”
Gabbard also accused party of “inciting anti-white racism”, contempt for religion and the police, and bringing the country closer to nuclear war.
Gabbard was first elected her native state of legislature of Hawaii in 2002 as Democrat, aged of 21. Since then, she has identified herself as a Democrat, she said.
In 2012, Gabbard became first Hindu and one of in first Two women combat veterans elected to Congress. She started building a national profile during the 2016 election when she resigned post as vice chairman of Democratic National Committee to Support Senator Bernie Sanders for the president.
She is announced her own presidential run on CNN in January 2019, saying: “There are one main issue what is central to the rest, and that issue of War and Peace.”
She fell out of in race in March 2020 and supported President Biden.
