We watched a gorgeous Fortnite map shatter and fall in brief but satisfying teaser film. The map collapsed under its weight, revealing valleys, wetlands, jungle terrain, and a temple in the distance. It appeared to be quite chaotic and will be released on June 9; however, we will get our first comprehensive look at the map at the Summer Game Fest on June 8.

Time To Get Wild

It has been some time since the jungle biome for Fortnite was reported to be added, and it has even appeared in a few leaks since then. The character himself was seen on a loading screen that portrayed a jungle scene when the photographs were leaked just over a week ago and showed an Optimus Prime skin in Fortnite along with some other skins.

Now, in a new teaser screenshot, Epic Games has announced that this will be the next biome to be introduced:

An hour after this film was uploaded, Geoff Keighley came to Twitter to clarify that this brand-new season will debut during Summer Game Fest. Summer Game Fest begins on June 8 at 3 PM EST / 9 PM CEST, meaning the premiere of this brand-new season will take place then.

It is just one of the numerous surprises scheduled to take place during the showcase, arguably one of the most highly anticipated gaming events of the year. This is especially true when considering the popularity of the previous year’s event and the apparent demise of E3, neither of which Keighley was responsible for causing.
