Simon Case admits he discussed work for Carrie Johnson with Prince William’s charity

His letter arrived in reply to another letter from Angela Reiner, Deputy Head of Labor Party.

Miss Rayner asked Mr. Case: series of questions about his participation in prospective job search, including whether he spoke to the Fund about role.

She is also asked him if Mr. Johnson had raised issue with Queen or any other member of The Royal Family.

Mrs Johnson after all took position of director of Communications at the Aspinall Foundation, an environmental charity.

In his letter to the cabinet secretary on On Thursday evening, Ms Rayner said: “Now there are serious questions. for prime minister to respond about potential rule violations and conflict of interest in his lobbying for high-paying, tax-financed jobs for his partner in 2018, Carrie Johnson.

“Reports suggest that while Foreign Secretary, Mr. Johnson tried to secure the appointment of Ms. Johnson to a position at the Foreign Office. in 2018, as well as other roles, including one with royal charity.

Simon Case’s answer

Mr. Case said, “I was informed that one publicly advertised role as well as possible volunteer opportunities.

“In preservation with charitable status of the Earthshot Award, publicly advertised role was not funded by the state and any applicant would be required go through full and an open interview process.

“I do not know of how this is information was used, but, as far as I understand, Mrs. Johnson did not pursue any of these opportunities.”

In a separate letter to Lord Evans, the chairman of Committee on Standards in Social life, Miss Reiner called. for officials who were allegedly involved in trying to get Mrs. Johnson a job to give public proof.

She told Ben Gascoigne one of Mr Johnson’s closest aides and Dominic Cummings, his former chief adviser, should be towed in front of investigators.

She is also called for a new a Ministerial Adviser on Emergency Ethics will be appointed soon to avoid Mr Johnson, being “Judge and Jury in his own business.”

Downing Street denied that Johnson recommended his then-fiancee.

Her representative denied that she had been launched. with the foundation for Job.
