Ramadan: Rut-i-Hilal Central Committee to meet tomorrow for moon watching

The meeting of the Rut-i-Hilal Central Committee dedicated to observing the moon of Ramadan will be held tomorrow. on Saturday.

Commission meeting will take place in Peshawar chaired of Ruet-i-Hilal Chairman of the Central Committee Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad.

Azad said that the meeting will be attended by members of the Peshawar Zonal Committee and officials. of Ministry of Religious Affairs, Ministry of Science and Technology, Meteorological Department and SUPARCO.

Meanwhile, other area committees also meet in respective cities including Karachi, Lahore, Quetta and Islamabad, it added.

The Ruet y Hilal Research Council stated that the holy month of Ramadan is expected begin in Pakistan on April 3rd (Sunday) year while waiting for Eid-ul-Fitr on May 3rd

Ruet-e-Hilal Secretary-General Khalid Ejaz Mufti said: “The birth of in new moon of Ramadan expected on April 1 at 11:24. 29 Shabana (April 2) age of moon should be at least 19 years old hours. In some parts of Pakistan, he will exceed 31 hours”.

In a statement earlier this month, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said there was a possibility that the moon of Ramadan would be seen. on 2 April.

” new moon of Ramadan, 1443 AH, will be born on [the] crossing point at 11-24 PST on 01-04-2022,” the meteorological department said in a statement.

“According to astronomical parameters good chance of aiming new moon of Ramadan, 1443 AH on evening of [April 2] i.e on 29th of Shaban, 1443 AH,” the statement said.

The PMD said that according to climate records, weather clear or partly cloudy expected in most parts of country in the evening of 2 April.

If the holy month begins in line with according to the PMD forecast, Eidul-Fitr is expected to be observed either on May 3 or 2.
