Pakistan share in Malaysian imports of $238 billion is negligible and can be increased with a little effort and the Pakistani embassy. in Malaysia may play instrumental role in in this respect.

Lahore Chamber of Mian Rehman Aziz Chan, Senior Vice President of the Department of Trade and Industry (LCCI), stated this during a conversation with the delegation. of Malaysian entrepreneurs led by Wasim bin Ahmed.

Chan pointed out that Pakistan and Malaysia have maintained close and warm relations for a long time, and these relations have continued to grow and strengthen with passage of time, but it should be reflected in mutual trade and economic ties too.

He said Pakistan’s main exports to Malaysia are cereals, textiles and clothing. rice vegetables, seafood (fresh, chilled and frozen), chemical and chemical products, while the main imports from Malaysia were palm oil, chemical products, electrical and electronic products.

Other exports from Pakistan to Malaysia included fish, potatoes, onions, corn, cotton yarn, textiles, synthetic fibres, linens, electrical appliances. for telephone lines, parts and accessories.

Other imports from Malaysia were rubber, wood, synthetic threads, insecticides, automatic data processing. machines and parts and accessories.

Balance of trade said he always has been in service of Malaysia and “we want to acquire some justified share in trade with Malaysia as there is huge potential for export of Pakistani rice and fresh fruit like citrus and mango.

Senior Vice President of LCCI emphasized need for joint ventures of two countries in fields of animal and dairy products, food processing, energy, chemicals, halal products and light technology, which can further strengthen trade links between two countries.

“We need develop good connection with our mission in Malaysia in to overcome everything challenges involved in export expansion,” Chang added.

Malaysian entrepreneurs told Pakistani businessmen that they have huge job opportunities. for Skilled Labor Force of Pakistan in Malaysia, especially in palm production.

Pakistanis should take advantage of the possibilities that help increase inflow of foreign exchange, they said, adding that Pakistan and Malaysia have a warm relationship and both should take full advantage of in trade as well as business capabilities in each other’s countries.

They acknowledged that Pakistan has great potential for export of rice fresh fruits, livestock and dairy products, energy, chemicals and halal products to Malaysia.
