Khan forms committee to work out seat adjustment with PML-Q

LAHORE: Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Pakistani Chairman Imran Khan on On Monday, a committee of three was formed to discuss seat adjustments. with PML-Q for in next elections.

He declared in media reports that PTI Vice President Shah Mahmood Qureshi chaired the committee while former defense minister Parvez Khattak and former information minister Its members were Fawad Chaudhry.

The Committee will hold its first a meeting with Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi and his son Munis Elahi on Tuesday to solve SOP for negotiation. According to sources, the committee also review electoral position of PTI in counties where PML-Q asked for seat adjustment. Later he will present final report on negotiations with the head of the PTI.

The PML-Q required seat adjustment. in more more than two dozen constituencies with PTI before dissolution of Punjab Assembly. Last week Mr Khan announced that the meetings in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhawa will be dissolved. on December 23rd.

Meanwhile, the electoral commission of Pakistan (ECP) said on Monday new provincial assemblies will elected for five years if PTI dissolves the Punjab and KP assemblies. It said that by-elections could not be held now after the dissolution of of meeting. This also expressed resolve hold elections within 90 days in line with Constitution of Pakistan after the collapse of assemblies.
