He noted that the European Union has announced its “green plan” to achieve zero emissions by 2050, one of its main tools is the use of carbon capture and storage technologies, and many other projects have been announced in the United States, the Arab region, Asia and others. countries of the world.

And he pointed out that there is a global trend towards the adoption of carbon capture technologies, and we still need more efforts to stimulate the private sector and share experiences.

He said that there are currently about 35 carbon capture stations around the world, adding that the most widely used carbon capture methods are gas cleaning and the chemical industry.

He continued: “We are seeing an expansion of carbon capture technologies with blue hydrogen and electricity.”
