Imran Khan reiterates commitment to Pakistan

  • Reiterates he would neither leave country nor strike a deal
  • Urges nation to smash idols of fear as death is better than slavery
  • Reveals people of countries with poor rule of law index fleeing homelands for better future

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has spoken out about his commitment to Pakistan, stating that he has been fighting to make Pakistan a truly independent country for the past 27 years. He has made it clear that he will remain in Pakistan and will do whatever it takes to make his dream a reality, rather than striking a deal or fleeing the country.

In a recent address to the nation, Khan stated that he is not striving for power, but for the future of the country’s younger generations. He will not compromise on his goal of Haqeeqi Azadi, no matter what happens.

Khan urged the nation to reject fear and to stand up against oppression. He stressed that death is better than slavery, and that only the free can fly high and make progress. He cautioned that the ruling parties are solely focused on power and money, and are leading the country towards destruction.

He revealed that people from countries with poor rule of law indices are fleeing their homelands in search of better futures. He cited the example of Syria, Libya, and Sudan, where civil wars have triggered mass exodus. He highlighted the importance of justice and the supremacy of law, stating that progress and prosperity are directly linked to these values.

Khan emphasised that he has repeatedly offered a negotiated settlement to the current crisis, but to no avail. He warned that outsiders have infiltrated peaceful PTI protestors, inciting them to carry out ransacking and vandalism. He reiterated that whenever a free and fair investigation is carried out into the May 9 incident, it will be established that it was a preplanned move to crush the PTI.

Khan has made it clear that he will face all cases and will not leave the country. He urged the nation to do peaceful protests and to be mentally prepared for all kinds of sacrifice, as no one will offer them independence on a plate.
