Fixed tax on retailers Released: PM releases 17.1 million power consumers from FAC

DOHA: Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif on Tuesday announced a complete release for about 17.1 million electricity consumers out of 30 million in country from paying fuel adjustment fees in electricity bills.

As urgent measures to help the masses prime minister said government It was also cancellation notice of charge of fixed taxes on retailers and shopkeepers.

He announced what out of 30 million consumers, total of 17.100 million will not pay fuel adjustment fees (FAC) in your electricity bills, as it was now removed. “After this relief announcement, they will not pay a single rupee for FAC,” he said. added.

He said about 300,000 users of tubular wells for agriculture in the country will also enjoy a complete exemption from fuel adjustment fees.

prime minister further explained that the mechanism in this relationship would be announced soon adding that they also consideration of other power user costs.
