6 people killed in Helicopter accident in Mountains of West Virginia

Six people were killed in helicopter crash on Wednesday evening in Logan County, West Virginia, according to Deputy director of county office of Emergency management.

Helicopter came down on Route 17 near Mount Blair, MP said director, Sonya Porter. Mountain area in southern part of the state is known as Kelly Hollow.

Miss Porter was not sure what could be caused in crash.

“While crash happened, I think weather was clear,” she said.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration, it was a Bell UH-1B helicopter. with The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating crash.

Logan County Commission expressed condolences to family and friends of victims on local television.

“Our prayers with them,” said Diana Barnett, the county commissioner.
