The Ministry of Culture of the Community of Madrid announces grants for the creation and development of video game projects
The global pandemic caused by the coronavirus has wreaked havoc on the economy, something governments treat to alleviate based on different public aid for the affected sectors.
Well, on February 2 was published in the Official Gazette of the Community of Madrid , the Autonomous Community that houses the capital of Spain , a call for ten grants «for the creation and development of video game projects» in the region this year. The maximum amount of funds that may be allocated to each of these grants will be € 25,000 , adding together a total of € 250,000 .
In addition, the requirements to be able to access these aids, which are the following:
- Have the status of micro or small business, in accordance with the provisions of Commission recommendation 2003/361 / EC, of May 6, on the definition of micro, small and medium enterprises.
- Be a company with the capacity to act in the field of video game creation and development (computing, programmer, computer design or similar).
- The fiscal domicile and the work centers of the personnel that impute personnel expenses will be located in Spanish territory, and will have, at least, one headquarters in the Community of Madrid. In the case of foreign companies, they must have at least one subsidiary domiciled under the same terms as that indicated in the previous paragraph.
