Sidharth Malhotra on his journey: Has taken me many years to get to Bandra from Malad East

Sidharth Malhotra opened up on his journey so far in an interview to Bombay Times. He said, “I had zero experience on camera and no uncle or aunty recommended me, so I could only learn from my mistakes.” Also Read – #HappyBirthdaySidharthMalhotra: Akshay Kumar wants to meet his Brothers co-star for THIS reason

He added, “I did modelling for pocket money. I became an assistant director in my mid 20s (Dostana, My Name is Khan) and I was thrilled to be on set and even do all the dirty jobs that ADs do. I feel it’s just the beginning for me. A lot of hard work has gone into landing from Delhi to Mumbai. Shifting several houses, staying away from family. It has taken me many years to get to Bandra from Malad East (smiles). Malad-Goregaon-Andheri-Juhu and now Bandra. I am in Mumbai since the past ten years!” Also Read – Filmy Friday: With Thank God, MayDay, Attack, Indian 2 and others, Rakul Preet is set to dominate in Bollywood and south

The actor said that he is not obsessed about what is being written about him. He stated, “You have to keep going. I don’t think I have arrived, the best is yet to come. Also, I am not obsessed with what’s written about me. I’d rather do activities that are more fulfilling like travelling, sports, workout, horse-riding, hanging out with my non-industry friends as that gives you a sense of normalcy. If someone’s engaging I can have a conversation with them for hours.” Also Read – Ajay Devgn, Sidharth Malhotra, Rakul Preet team up for Indra Kumar’s slice-of-life comedy, Thank God — deets inside

Sidharth will next be seen in Mission Majnu. He had previously said, “Mission Majnu is a patriotic tale inspired by true events that celebrates the hard work of RAW agents who go out of their way to protect the citizens of our country. It is a privilege to tell the story of our brave agents, and I am eager to revisit a mission that forever changed the relationship between India and Pakistan. I am looking forward to sharing this special film with everyone.”
