Sheikh Rashid advises Prime Minister Imran Khan to resign

ISLAMABAD: Minister of Home Affairs Sheikh Rashid on On Friday, he said he had advised Prime Minister Imran Khan to step down as head of state. last option against the backdrop of voting on Opposition petition for no confidence following Supreme Court (SC) decision, ARY News reports.

Talking to media in Islamabad, interior minister said he offered PTI government for past three months for Resignations and dissolution of the MNA of meetings, but his advice was not taken seriously.

“I asked the prime minister for past three months to retire and dissolve meetings,” he said, adding that also advised the emergency and the governor rule but his advice was rejected by the premier.

minister said Prime Minister Khan will address the nation on Friday evening in which the latter constitute key announcement.

After the decision of the Supreme Court on Decree of the Vice Speaker of the National Assembly on motion of no confidence, Prime Minister Imran Khan called a meeting of Federal Cabinet Today.

On Twitter, Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry stated that prime minister will chair over meetings of tomorrow his cabinet and the ruling PTI parliamentary committee.

Prime Minister Khan will later address the nation, he added.
