New Seat Leon succeeds the Toyota Corolla
The Seat Leon is the new Car of the Year in Portugal, succeeding Toyota Corolla, winner in 2020, with the familiar of the Martorell brand deserving the preference of the panel of judges of the ‘Car of the Year / Crystal Wheel Trophy’ initiative, having imposed itself among the batch of 35 candidates for the competition in the edition this year.
In the final stage of the contest, Leon was in direct competition with six other finalists, which included the Citroën C4, Cupra Formentor, Hyundai Tucson, Skoda Octavia, Toyota Yaris and Volkswagen ID.3.
This is the third time that Seat Leon wins the title of Car of the Year in Portugal, after receiving the distinction in 2011 and 2014.
