Russian President Vladimir Putin signed, on Friday, the extension of the New START treaty with the United States on limiting the nuclear arsenal, after the two countries reached an understanding before its expiration date.
The Kremlin said In a statement: “Vladimir Putin signed the Federal Law on Ratification of the Agreement on the Extension of the Treaty between Russia and the United States Concerning Measures to Reduce and Increase the Limitation of Strategic Offensive Weapons.”
