Puerto Rico has a new bitcoin ATM

Bitstop, a US manufacturer of bitcoin ATMs, has installed a new equipment in Puerto Rico. It is the eighth device that the company places on the Caribbean island, but the first to reach the Carolina municipality, located in the northeast region.

The new equipment for the purchase of bitcoin is available at the Puma service station located in Marginal Los Angeles in Carolina, as announced by the company through its Twitter account.

In On its website, the company notes that it has other bitcoin vending machines in nearby locations such as Calbert’s Shell Isla Verde, Texxan Oil’s Gulf Barbosa and the one installed at Baldorioty de Castro, the corridor that receives each person who arrives on the Island. All strategically located in service stations and enabled only for purchase since they are not bidirectional and do not allow selling.

Since 2019, Bitstop has planned to install ATM in every corner of the United States. That year it even signed an agreement with Simon Malls, the largest shopping center operator in the country, and since then, has based its efforts on making bitcoin more and more visible.

In fact, Andrew Barnard, co-founder and CEO of the firm noted in the past that the more ATMs available in the world, the more people will be attracted to the cryptocurrency industry.
