PTI’s challenge Election of Hamza by Punjab CM

LAHORE:

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will challenge Election of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Hamza Shehbaz as head minister of Punjab in Lahore High Court, federal minister says for Information and broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry during a speech before media on Wednesday.

senior PTI leader accused Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif of son of “illegally” securing the provincial top spot, adding that the petition to remove him from office will be served in high court on Thursday. He also said that the court would ask for an election for in CM slot soon.

Commenting on political crisis, he once again confirmed demand for preliminary polls, adding that Prime Minister Shehbaz could be asked to vote of confidence President Dr. Arif Alvi. He added that the current government was not 172 votes necessary for the formation government in Centre.

He also commented on economic situation, saying that the country is suffering after the dismissal of the head of PTI from office.

Fawad said he didn’t know whether government subjected to pressure from the security forces for early elections, but “any patriotic Pakistani” could feel the crisis. He said immediate elections were the only way out of the political crisis, adding that government should keep them in September.

On the other hand, Ataullah Tarar of PML-N called the discussion on Hamza’s departure as “groundless rumors”. Claiming that his party still in majority in Punjab, he added that the case was “open and shut’ and they didn’t care.
