Australian Olympic silver winner Scott Miller was arrested in Sydney on Tuesday because local police have reason to believe he is running a drug syndicate. Police detained 45-year-old Miller and two of his allies during two raids in residential areas of Sydney.

Local police say Miller is likely , is the head of a drug syndicate. The group distributes drugs called “ice” or methamphetamine on a large scale. During the raid, police found candles containing drugs. Their total value is estimated at around A $ 2 million. A kilogram of heroin, as well as other drugs and cash were also found during the search. A police spokesman revealed that Miller had distributed drugs in the state of New South Wales.

Miller won a silver medal in the 100-meter butterfly swimming at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics . He also won bronze in the 4 × 100 meter swim with the relay team.
