Ogier wins the Croatian Rally in the last leg by half a second

Toyota driver moved to the lead of the World Rally Championship

Sébastien Ogier won this Sunday the Rally of Croatia, the third round of the WRC, which was disputed until the last meters of the ultimate. The Toyota world champion won the Power Stage and beat his Toyota teammate Elfyn Evans in the final standings by 6 tenths of a second.

It was breathtaking the last few moments of the rally, with Ogier leaving in penultimate for the last section, 3.9 seconds from Evans. The Frenchman pushed Toyota Yaris to the limit to try to attack the leadership and, even without perfect driving, put a lot of pressure on the Brit.

Evans accused this pressure and made some mistakes; flaws that remained, until the last corners and, when he still had one hand in the first place, a wider exit off the road ended up dictating the loss of his leadership and second place as the final result.
