District administration of Lahore on Wednesday wrote a letter to PTI leaders and recommended former prime minister Imran Khan should contact the partyRally in Lahore scheduled for Minar-e-Pakistan on Thursday, almost in light of “severe danger warnings”.
In the letter, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Lahore Atiyab Sultan wrote: “In light of warnings of serious threats received from the security authorities and in accordance with latest intelligence assessment made recommended at the district and oblast levelsprime minister Imran Khan should refer to public virtual meeting via video conferencing and LED display instead of physical appearance at Great Iqbal Park, Lahore on 21-04-2022″.
Letter addressed to PTI Punjab President Shafkat Mahmoud, PTI Lahore President Sheikh Imtiaz Mahmoud, PTI Punjab general secretary Zubair Niazi and organizer of rally, Ali Varraych. He asked PTI leaders to take timely action to “avoid any unpleasant incident.
Responding to the letter, PTI Additional Information Secretary Hassan Khawar said news exit that party would not despair of this tactics through government.
