New variant of Defender is equipped with a V8 engine
Land Rover unveiled the new Land Rover Defender V8 , the full-range version of the well-known all-terrain model of the British brand that assumes the status of the most powerful and fastest version ever.
The new Defender V8, arrives in the versions of three and five doors (90 and 110) and equipped with a 5.0 liter V8 engine capable of delivering 525 hp of power and a torque of 625Nm, coupled to an eight-speed automatic gearbox.
These numbers allow the more muscular version of Defender to accelerate from 0 to 100KM7h in 5.2 seconds, and reach a top speed of 240 km / h.
To safely put all its power on the ground, the new Defender 4×4 benefits from changes at the chassis level , where changes in the suspension stand out, with springs and shock absorbers with new adjustment, larger stabilizer bars, as well as a rear differential the active and electronically controlled one, helping to reduce body oscillation in the tightest curves.
In addition to these changes in the suspension level, there is also the introduction of a new Dynamic program in the Terrain Response 2 system, available only in the variant with V8 engine, which helps the driver to explore the more dynamic character of the new model, making the accelerator pedal response and the most direct steering faster.
The new Land Rover Defender V8 arrives with distinct details that make this version the dynamic May model British brand, where the four tailpipes stand out, special 22-inch wheels finished in satin dark gray, 20-inch brake discs with Xenon Blue calipers, as well as the V8 logo on the bottom of the front door .
This new version of Defender is available in three colors Carpathian Gra y, Yulong White and Santorini Black, with the first two having a Narvik Black roof.
Inside, the Defender V8 features leather-covered seats Exclusive Ebony Windsor, with Miko inserts and Robustec finishes. All complemented by a satin black finish, a four-spoke steering wheel covered in Alcantara with chrome gearbox tabs and leather cover for the airbags.
In addition, the Pivi Pro infotainment system has an 11.4 inch curved screen as an option. To that is added as standard an induction charging system for the smartphone.
