New model is the most powerful ever of the German brand
Audi finally revealed this Tuesday the long-awaited e-tron GT in a digital presentation with pomp, famous people and where the biggest star was even its new 100% electric model.
Audi has in this model its “most attractive car ever” and the arrow pointing to its future of mobility that wants sustainable. With two versions – the Audi e-tron quattro and the Audi RS e-tron GT -, the German brand produced, like the RS version, its vehicle “most powerful and ever.
The e-tron has a new low flat architecture that lowers the center of gravity and a 50% -50% weight ratio. The sporty design – with the rear fenders giving the muscle another season seen by the Audi quattro – is underlined with an aerodynamics ‘responsible’ for a drag coefficient of just 0.24 Cd.
The Audi e-tron electric all-wheel drive is equipped with an electric motor per axle and a lithium ion battery of 93, 4 kWh with a system and 800 volts. The rear differential lock is standard on both versions and the RS features an adaptive three-chamber air suspension.
The e-tron GT quattro has a power of 350 kW (476 hp) and a torque and 630 Nm and the 440 kW RS e-tron GT (598 hp). With ‘launch control’, the most ‘restrained’ increases the power to 390 kW (530 hp) for 2.5 seconds and the most powerful to 475 kW (646 hp).
The accelerations of the e-tron GT are made between 4.1 seconds of the quattro and 3.3 seconds of the highest performance version – which has a maximum speed limited to 250 km / h (the other version reaches 245 km / h) h).
The energy regeneration system made with intelligent control of cruising speed and braking to go up to 265kW. Charging can be done with alternating current with power of 11 kW or with direct current with power of 270 kW (22 kW will appear later as an option).
In ‘supercharging mode ‘, the e-tron GT charges 80% of the battery in about 20 minutes. Autonomies vary between 433 and 472 km from the least to the most powerful
The Audi e-tron GT is 4.99 m long, 1.96 m wide and 1.41 m high and has a capacity of 405 liters at the rear (366 in RS). The ‘pre sense’ Audi assistance system (AVAS) is standard, as well as the ‘plus’ virtual cockpit with brand seal and 12.3′ ‘screen and the MMI infotainment system with 10′ screen, 1’.
To increase the adrenaline in this high performance four-seater car with recyclable material seats (just like carpets) with a ‘skinless’ sustainability in mind, the e-tron GTjá comes with an AVAS sound that is already louder than what is legally required, but there are still more loud ‘snores’ than in RS come as standard …
In Portugal it is already possible to new e-tron GT, due out in the spring. In the UK, prices ranging from £ 79,000 (about 91,000 euros) to £ 110,950 (around 126,000 euros) have already been announced.
