British manufacturer is back in the championship after his last presence in 1960
Aston Martin introduced the new AMR21, the single seat with which four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel and Lance Stroll will compete in the Formula 1 World Championship in 2021.
The British manufacturer who is return to F1 61 years after his last participation, taking over from Racing Point, following Lawrence Stroll’s investment in Aston Martin in January 2020, which paved the way for Silverstone’s team to return to the world championship.
Like the Racing Point single-seaters in the 2020 season, the new AMR21 will feature a Mercedes engine AMG F1 M12 E Performance turbocharged that will be tested by Vettel and Stroll, already on Thursday, in a promotional event that will take place at the Silverstone circuit, before the official tests that will take place in Bahrain from 12 to 14 March.
“This is the beginning of a new challenge, a group of very talented people willing to make their mark. I think this is a good opportunity for the whole team to finally reveal what they are capable of doing ” , underlined Vettel during the presentation.
Remember that the World Cup Formula 1 starts on the weekend of 28th of this month with the Bahrain Grand Prix.
