Epic Esport Events, the Russian export tournament organizer, has announced that the third season of the Dota 2 EPIC League will take place. 16 teams from Europe and the CIS region will take part in the league, distributing a prize fund worth 100 thousand US dollars. The CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) region includes countries such as Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
The group tournament will take place from March 2 to 13, but the playoffs will take place from March 14 to 21. Although it has been announced that the third season will take place, the organizers have not yet announced the teams that will participate in this tournament, but it is expected that this will be done in the near future.
This will be one of the first online tournaments this year before ONE Esports Singapore Major, which will be the first Major level tournament this year in the Dota Pro Circuit season. During the second season, the league signed cooperation agreements with the Chinese company Haval, as well as the sports betting portal Parimatch.
Meanwhile, Esports Insider reports that this has become the largest Dota 2 tournament for European and CIS teams, so it is expected that as the new season approaches, the organization will announce a partnership with new partners.
