IGN has posted 12 minutes of new Monster Hunter Rise gameplay footage, featuring a new monster in a new environment.
The images show the hunt for the Somnacanth, also known in the game as the Mermaid Wyvern. The Frost Island, a snow map with several islands, is also shown.
Monster Hunter Rise is a fully-fledged new part for the Nintendo Switch. The game introduces, among other things, a new grappling hook mechanism and a dog to ride called Palamute. Capcom also indicates that it will adopt many of the refinements from Monster Hunter World.
Monster Hunter Rise will be released on Nintendo Switch on March 26.
