Barcelona’s Signing of Messi Dispute Resolved by La Liga Association

Barcelona has received prior approval from the Spanish Football League (La Liga) for the club’s economic plan to lift restrictions related to the Financial Fair Play Law.

The Catalan club cannot make any deal until the Spanish Football League approves the financial plan presented by the club.

And Spanish newspaper Sport on Wednesday reported that Barcelona had received verbal approval from the La Liga association, but that the club considered it insufficient and was awaiting official publication of the decision.

The Spanish newspaper indicated that the approval of the La Liga association would force Barcelona to move towards building a strong team under coach Javi Hernandez.

She stated that Barcelona’s original idea, after receiving the approval of the La Liga association, was to register new contracts for existing players (Gavi – Ronald Araujo – Sergi Roberto – Marcos Alonso – Baldi), and then switch to a contract with Lionel Messi as the second stage.

And Sport said that Barcelona president Juan Laporta gave the administration urgent instructions to change priorities and put Messi’s cause above all else, because signing a contract with the Argentine star is the most urgent process facing the club. and if you do not disperse it, then the chances of the return of the “flea” will decrease every day.

The club also wants to show Messi that what happened when he was forced to leave Barcelona in 2021 will not happen again and the management is fully convinced of their ability to carry out all subsequent planned operations.

The Barcelona administration believes that the registration of new contracts is guaranteed after receiving the official approval of the La Liga association.
