6 injured in small plane crash landed on Miami Bridge Lights Up – NBC 6 South Florida

At least six people were injured when small airplane crash landed on bridge in Miami, Saturday, noon, blow at least one car and burst into flames.

The plane went down shortly before 13:00 on Haulover Inlet bridge near block 10800 of Collins Ave. Visible smoke from the wreckage of the plane for miles.

At least one vehicle was hit on the plane when it crashed, according to the Miami-Dade Fire Department.

The crews responded and found airplane on fire and quickly extinguished the flames, officials said.

Fire officials said that six people injured, including two who were taken to a local hospital with injuries. One of they were airlifted to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center and another was airlifted to Jackson North Medical Center.

Three more victims received injuries incompatible with life. Condition of sixth patient was unknown.

Bridge over Haulover Bay on According to authorities, Collins Avenue between Sunny Isles Beach and Bal Harbor has been closed. Collins Avenue southbound closed at 158th Street.

Traffic has been diverted and drivers it was recommended to look for an alternative route and expect serious delays.

Officials said the agency of The Environmental Resources Authority was notified of a fuel leak from the aircraft.
