2 men pretended to be federal agents, gave gifts secret service officers: court documents

Taherzadeh and Ali allegedly posed as “special police”, claiming to be “involved in in undercover gang-related investigations, as well as conducting investigations related to violence at the US Capitol. on January 6,” court documents released Wednesday evening said.

“USPIS inspector provided this information to the DHS office of Inspector General, who then transferred information to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for further investigation. It was at this point that the FBI launched an investigation that corroborated the allegations of residents obtained by a USPIS inspector,” court documents say.

Names of the suspended Secret Service officers were not released. The court documents did not state when these alleged interactions occurred.
