Yamaha renews permanence agreement in MotoGP for another five years

Japanese team will line up in 2021 with Maverick Viñales and Fabio Quartararo

Yamaha renewed this Monday permanence agreement in the MotoGP world championship for another five seasons: from 2022 to 2026.

The Japanese manufacturer’s announcement was made on the sidelines of presentation of the official MotoGP team, which features Frenchman Fabio Quartararo, as teammate of Spanish Maverick Viñales.

“At Yamaha we are very proud to participate in MotoGP. We are all very pleased to be able to confirm the renewal of the contract for another five years, at the beginning of an important season for our company ” , stressed Toyoshi Nishida, executive director of the Japanese manufacturer in a statement revealed by Yamaha.

With a presence in the world motorcycle championship since 1961, Yamaha has collected 511 victories, 38 world riders ‘titles and 37 constructors’ titles.
