“Wild” robber who beaten, gagged and “tied up” 86-year-old woman before you leave her die was imprisoned for 34 years.

Vasile Kulya was convicted of murder of Freda Walker in her Derbyshire home after he broke in search in progress for £30,000 in cash he heard that in in house.

CCTV showed Culea first arrived at their address around 5:30 p.m., claiming to have opened their unlocked back door and then hid, only to be discovered by an elderly couple.

When Mrs. Walker opened the door to let the cat out, he made him way inside, running violent attack which the left mr walker with broken neck.

Jurors at Derby Crown Court were told that the victims suffered “frankly appalling” injuries, and that Mrs. Walker could have good chance of survive attack if she wasn’t”abandoned unaided” when Kulea fled the scene with £300 stolen from her purse.

Mrs Walker was hurt fatal brain injury and was found dead in kitchen by emergency services the day after attack.

She’s had at least two covers over her head what was tied up – a pillowcase and a garbage bag.

The police described the level of violence as “terrifying” and “disturbing”.

Culea’s verdict on On Friday, Mr. Judge Henshaw said: “You killed Freda Walker. for get because you killed her in well of promotion of your robbery.
