WhatsApp has given users one of their long-awaited features – the ability to edit messages.
“When you make a mistake or just change your mind, you can now edit your messages sent to WhatsApp,” the Mita-owned messaging app said in a blog post.
within 15 minutes
As the feature rolls out globally in the coming weeks, senders will be able to edit their messages within 15 minutes of clicking the “Submit” button.
You can also use this feature by long-pressing a message and selecting Edit from the menu.
A modified message will be described as “modified”, with no indication of which part has been modified.
Telegram, Signal and Twitter
Rival apps such as Telegram and Signal are said to already allow users to edit messages.
Last year, Twitter also allowed microblogs to edit tweets for a specific group of users.
