Westlink was closed in in both directions on a serious road collision.
Details of in crash unclear, but the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service said they received 999 call at 18:53, “after messages of RTC featuring motorcycle on Western link in Belfast.
NIAS representative added that “two ambulances were sent to the scene.”
representative added: “After examination and initial treatment, patients were not taken from the scene.”
The PSNI said: “Westlink in Belfast was closed in in both directions between Broadway and Clifton Street after heavy traffic collision.
“Police officers are working to create detours, but motorists are advised to look for alternative routes. for their journey at this time.”
Trafficwatch NI’s Twitter account wrote: “A12 Westlink is now CLOSED BOTH DIRECTIONS between Broadway and Clifton Street. Please find an alternative route. (19:33)”.
They previously tweeted: “#Belfast – A12 Westlink closed. for Linked traffic M2. All traffic is redirected off on Grosvenor Road. (19:16)”.
