Islamabad: after heavy rain on Saturday morning in Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon visited the federal capital various locations and proven cleaning work in preparation for coming rain for proper drainage of water.

During a visit to the E-11 sector, he instructed the leadership of the society to speed up the cleanup. work and expansion of nullahs, eliminating encroachment around him on ensure smooth flow of water like more rain expected in coming days.

He asked the housing cooperative to immediately close the cellars. of residential buildings and commercial areas around drains avoid any emergency during the monsoon.

Columbia region also visited nulls near kachi abadi (slum areas), diplomatic enclave and Bhar kahu and inspected cleaning work.

“No negligence is allowed for in safety of residents, those responsible would punished strictly,” DC warned.
