Two men file a charge against a police officer with Nichols murder threatened them in unrelated incident
Two Memphis residents told NBC News that one of police officers charged with murder of Tyre Nichols drew gun on and threatened to shoot them in unrelated incident.
Glenn Harris, 24, and Demarius Hervey, 27, said they were surrounded by police cars. outside refueling in August 2020, then tried to run in Mr Harris car because they were afraid arrest for possession of cannabis.
One officer, Emmitt Martin III, allegedly pinned Harris to the pavement. with knee on his neck and threatened to “blow you up face off”.
Affidavit obtained by NBC News that appears to be from the same incident. shows what men were arrested after Mr Harris crashed car and after a short leg chase. Mr Harris was charged of possession of gun while intoxicated, reckless driving, driving with suspended, revoked or revoked license leaving the scene of accident and evasion arrest. No charges were filed against Mr Hervey.
