Trump targeted Liz Cheney at Wyoming rally days after high-profile endorsements failed

CASPER, Wyoming – Thousands of supporters of former President Donald Trump jumped out of their places and took up their phones in capture moment he took scene on Saturday at the rally in support of Harriet Hageman, attorney trying to remove Rep. Liz Cheney in upcoming Republican primaries.

Trump’s appearance in red state on Saturday showed his commitment to trying to force Cheney out of Congress. Trump ally-turned-critic Cheney scathingly chided former president after the riot at the Capitol on January 6. She was one of 10 Republicans in the House of Representatives who voted to impeach Trump on charge of “incitement of insurrection” last year.

Trump has since targeted the congresswoman and vowed to recover revenge on Republicans like Cheney who he says betrayed him. Cheney, a staunch conservative, stood her ground against Trump during the onslaught of national- and backlash from members at the state level of her own party.

Trump broke into Cheney in several parts of her speech, claiming that she “hates voters of Republican Party”. The speech was in part of the broadcast of Trump’s frequent grievances, including over Russian interference investigation in elections of 2016; his two impeachments, crowd sizes; investigation January 6, 2021, Capitol attack – which he called a “hoax” – and Cheney vote hold him accountable.

Trump backs two main contenders against incumbent Governor Brian Kemp and Secretary of Brad Raffensperger’s estate, both of who rejected Trump’s attempts to cancel the 2020 election results in battlefield condition. Kemp and Raffensperger each won their main races on Wednesday landslide. Trump-backed candidates in Ohio and Pennsylvania, however, won their primaries in recent weeks.
