Some Trump supporters are reportedly outraged that Donald Trump Jr.’s girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle was apparently paid $60,000. for a speech that lasted only three minutes during a rally leading up to the Capitol riot on January 6, 2021

On Tuesday, Jan. 6, committee member Zoe Lofgren, a California Democrat, told CNN that “people were deceived former the president. They were deceived into believing that the elections stolen and what they should go to the Capitol as requested by the president.”

“They were deceived out – I think that the average donation from those false email inquiries, something like 17 dollars. These were people who were not rich people,” she is added. “They were deceived by the president. This was big lies and it was also a big tear-off”.

“We know what Gilfoyle got paid for the introduction she gave in the speech on January 6. She received compensation for it,” Ms Lofgren said. “I’m not saying it’s criminal, but I think it’s a scam.

Ms Lofgren said that Ms Guilfoyle received “$60,000”. for two and half minutes” in funds raised from donations from Trump supporters who believed money would be used to challenge President Joe Biden’s election victory in Courts.

“You had money going to [Trump Chief of Staff] Mark Meadows foundation and to another foundation who hired Trump supporters who lost their jobs,” Ms Lofgren said. “So it wasn’t something he told his sponsors, it was to protect the election. It was a completely different goal. I think it was deceptive and wrong.”
