After Rihanna’s Super Bowl performance on Sunday night, former President Trump intensified his criticism of the legendary singer.
During her halftime performance, Rihanna sang many classics, including “Umbrella” and “Work,” She also announced that she is expecting her second child. After the show, her reps made the pregnancy official.
Trump didn’t like it. Trump stated in Truth Social on Sunday night, “EPIC FAIL: Rihanna gave, without a doubt, the worst Halftime Show in Super Bowl history – This after insulting more than half of our Nation, which is already in serious DECLINE, with her filthy and offensive behavior.
So much for her. “Stylist!” he said. Trump’s remarks seem to be in response to Rihanna’s plan to spray-paint a car with the words “F**k Trump” in 2020, which Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-Texas) wrote about on Truth Social earlier this week.
“Why does the NFL show off this garbage? Rihanna SHOULD NOT perform during halftime!” Jackson composed.
Two days ago, Trump criticized Rihanna in a tweet that read, “Without her ‘Stylist,’ she’d be NOTHING. Bad everything, and NO TALENT!”
The former and the popular singer had a prior argument, particularly after she filed a lawsuit in 2018 to stop Trump from playing her music at his rallies.
While Trump was in the White House, Rihanna was also a vocal opponent of him. She denounced his so-called “Muslim ban” in 2017, which prohibited travelers from entering the United States from seven countries with a majority of Muslims.
“Disgusted! The news is devastating! America is being ruined right before our eyes! What an immoral pig you have to be to implement such B.S.!” she wrote on Twitter.
