He spent time with flood affected people in rescue and medical camps and led the formation for provision of 5,000 tents flood affected people of Dadu and surrounding areas, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a press release.
Army chief also interacted with troops busy in rescue work. COAS later flew out for aerial reconnaissance of flood affected areas of Dadu, Khairpur Nathan Shah, Johi, Meher and Lake Manchar.

He said: “I have visited all flood affected areas of Pakistan including Otal, Nasirabad, Rajanpur, Swat, Larkana, Shahdadkot, Khairpur and other areas, and the worst disaster in country happened in Dadu. “There is distance of 100 kilometers between Manchhar Lake and Hamal Lake, but due to a natural disaster, the water of the two lakes mingled,” he said, and added besides this area rescue work ended in other areas.
COAS went on say rescue operation in Dadu in the process, adding that city It has population of about 500,000, but I saw this number double how result of floods while it remains surrounded by water.
