The Release of Assassin’s Creed Nexus for Virtual Reality: Get Ready to Become an Assassin in 2023

Ubisoft to Release Assassin’s Creed Nexus for Virtual Reality in 2023

It has been officially announced at this point. Ubisoft first discussed the possibility of creating an Assassin’s Creed virtual reality experience in 2020. Despite this, the plans are only just beginning to materialize at this point.

Official Announcement and Release Date

The announcement was brought to people’s attention on Twitter by the Meta Quest and Assassin’s Creed profiles. Despite this, they only provided a little ‘additional’ information aside from the fact that it will be published later this year. Ubisoft will hold an event called Ubisoft Forward on June 12, one day after the Xbox Games Showcase and the Starfield Direct event. The complete details of it will be disclosed during the Ubisoft Forward event.

Turn yourself into an assassin.

The social media team at Meta Quest announced that Assassin’s Creed Nexus, which they described as “an all-new game built exclusively for VR,” will allow players to take on the role of assassins. In the teaser video that lasts ten seconds and promises a full reveal in less than two weeks, we see the classic Assassin’s Creed emblem put out over a globe surrounded by a pattern that looks like broken-up glyphs.

Missions and Characters

There is little evidence to go on here. In one of our earliest reports, we mentioned that Assassin’s Creed: Nexus would include sixteen different missions, each putting players in the first-person perspective of a different legendary Assassin from the Assassin’s Creed franchise. These characters included Ezio Auditore, Connor Kenway, and Kassandra.

Upcoming Ubisoft Forward Showcase

In a bizarre turn of events earlier this year, it was speculated that Ubisoft was already working on the next installment of the Nexus project. We will have much more information about the game when the Nexus game is shown off on June 12 during this year’s Ubisoft Forward showcase.
