One of the renowned professional organizations in project management, the Project Management Institute (PMI), awarded Imre Szalay, Managing Director of Neumann Társaság, for decades of work with the international award “PMI Eric Jenett Person of the Year”.
As you know, in 2021, the Hungarian branch of the professional organization PMI Budapest decided to establish the PMI Budapest Eric Jenett Project Management Award in Hungary, following international traditions.
It is a recognition of the work of those professionals who, through their outstanding work and contribution to the profession, have made a lasting impression in the fields of project management, technical project management, and strategic and business project management. (Eric Jenette was the third member of PMI and the first certified project management expert.)
In 2022, a PMI jury of international experts awarded two professionals this year’s PMI Eric Jenett Person of the Year, the most prestigious professional recognition for a professional organization: one is Imre Salay, Managing Director of Neumann, and the other is an American project management expert, Shivani Gupta’s work has been recognized.
Before taking a senior position at Neumann Társaság, Imre Szalay served as director of systems integration for Digital Equipment Hungary, director of professional services for Compaq Hungary, former director of service for Hewlett-Packard, and former project office and internal department. Regulatory Director Vodafone Hungary Hungary.
In the absence of Imre Szalay, Laszlo Kremmer, President of the Hungarian PMI Association in Budapest, received the award at the PMI Global Summit 2022 in Las Vegas organized by PMI on December 2, 2022.
