ISLAMABAD:
Markets in Islamabad has been notified reduce business hours as part of ongoing austerity measures in light of energy crisis in the country.
Islamabad Supplementary District Magistrate Rana Wakas Issues Notice on On Sunday, it says that markets will close at 21:00, wedding halls at 22:00, and restaurants and hotels at 23:30.
The notice states that these measures will in effect for two months. Nonetheless reduced business hours will not apply to hospitals, pharmacies, vegetable shops and gas stations.
Saturday Punjab government decided to close down business early in an attempt to conserve electricity to save the country from a deep electricity crisis.

Formerly Sindh government It was also reduced business hours in desire to save energy. In a statement from the provincial government stated that action was being taken in light of energy crisis in the country.
Crisis prompted Sindh government call sections of National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) Act of 2010 and issue order reduce operational hours of shops and restaurants, he had added.
“Urgent need take effective action for preservation of energy in Sindh through a two-pronged approach, i.e. use daylight hours for business activities and minimize possible adverse effect of in business activity,” it said.
