ISLAMABAD: Electoral Commission of Pakistan (ECP) asked political parties to submit a consolidated statement of Accounts for in financial year 2021-22 by August 29th.
According to the ETUC representative, the political parties were required in terms of Section 210 of Election Law 2017 read with Section 204 of law and rule 159 and 160 of of the 2017 election rules, what they were required submit with ESP their statement of Accounts for in financial year which ended on 30 June.
Remember, article 210. of The 2017 Electoral Law provides that political party must, in in such manner as may be prescribed, to present to the Commission within sixty days after closing of a financial yearsummary report of his accounts are audited by a certified public accountant on Form-D containing annual income and expenses, sources of his funds and assets and obligations.
The statement to be submitted to the ECP must accompany the report of certified public accountant with regarding the audit of Accounts of political party and a certificate signed office- bearer, authorized party head stating that no funds from any sources prohibited by the 2017 Electoral Law have been received by the political party and the statement contains the exact financial job title of political party. Statement of invoices must be submitted on Shape-D as provided in Election law 2017.
Printing forms are available freely of cost, in Electoral Commission Secretariat, Islamabad and in offices of Provincial Electoral Commissions of Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Form-D/Proforma for source of funds also available on ESP website.
ECP said overwrite should should be avoided and membership or a certificate issued by ICAP in respect of the auditor involved must be attached to form-D along with with in last valid renewal certificate.
Form-D must also accompany a legible copy of each of in bank statements for Period of from 07/01/2021 to 06/30/2022 of in the partytogether with a bank an act of reconciliation. The application must be addressed to the Secretary of the Electoral Commission of Pakistan, Constitution Avenue, G-5/2, Islamabad and must be delivered via office bearer of the party duly authorized party head in terms of rule 156 of Election Rules, 2017.
Applications received via postfax, courier service or any other method will not be accepted. added.
